When done at a gentle pace it works as a good warm up exercise, improving mobility in the knee and hip joints. When used at a vigorous pace the bicycle gives a great cardiovascular workout. The Bicycle is a well-known and well liked piece of equipment. By exercising the leg muscles, it improves both muscle strength and flexibility in the gluteals, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calf muscles. A traditional piece of equipment that can be used by young and old to either gently exercise and increase mobility in the legs to a vigorous Cardiovascular workout when done at speed.
